Making a shrinking semicircle and an enlarging semicircle by keyframing the Y scale. 2 Combine with a static semicircle and make use of inverted alpha matte to make a waxing and waning moon. 4 Precomp the above, and duplicate. Change the color of the new one. 5 Place the above two comps in a new comp, overlapped on top of a static circle of a different color. Stagger the two comps in time. 6 Make it a infinite loop. 7 You've done it!
